After VCC, my batch mates and i all received the venture badge. We were elated to have received this as it marked the first step in our Venturing Journey. Prior to VCC we all had completed the other components. The 5km hike and 100m continuous swim;- we managed to do both activities in one day even though it was very exhausting. We also shared with each other about our beliefs and shared our interpretation of the scout law. Over the first few scout meetings, we also completed our key scouting components over a few trainings.
For the pioneering activity we built a drawbridge. The draw bridge managed to support all our weight and worked flawlessly. This activity was very memorable as we played with our creation for sometime. We did BWM in one meeting as well. Even-though we did not manage to cook the bread, we managed to cook the chicken. Though we had done all these components when we were scouts, we did it again and this time we increased the level of difficulty and challenged ourselves. Shifting away from making boxes and frames for pioneering and cooking the standard corn for BWM. We elevated the quality of our products.
